Enhanced Performance Grades

Modified & Filled PTFE Rod — Engineered Compounds

Beyond pure virgin-grade material, we also mold and extrude filled bar stock enhanced with performance additives. Each filler targets specific property improvements — wear resistance, thermal conductivity, creep resistance, or friction reduction — for demanding industrial applications where unmodified polymer would fall short.

Bronze Filled PTFE Rod
Copper-tin bronze powder. Highest load-bearing capacity, excellent thermal conductivity. For hydraulic wear rings, heavy-load bearing bushes, and high-pressure piston rings.
Graphite Filled PTFE Rod
Flake graphite powder. Lowest friction coefficient, self-lubricating. For dry-running bearings, compressor piston rings, and sliding wear components in non-lubricated service.
Carbon Fiber Filled PTFE Rod
Chopped carbon fiber reinforcement. Superior creep resistance, high compressive strength, excellent dimensional stability. For structural components, high-temperature valve seats, and aerospace applications.
Glass Fiber Filled PTFE Rod
Milled glass fiber reinforcement. Best wear resistance, low creep, excellent chemical compatibility. The most common general-purpose filled PTFE rod — cost-effective for hydraulic seals and wear rings.
Polyimide (PI) Filled PTFE Rod
Vespel-style polyimide filler. Lowest friction among filled grades, non-abrasive to soft mating surfaces (aluminum, brass). FDA-compliant, ideal for food-grade and pharmaceutical machinery.
POB (Ekonol) Filled PTFE Rod
Aromatic polyester resin filler. Excellent high-temperature wear resistance, non-abrasive, FDA-compliant. For high-temperature rotary shaft seals, food processing equipment, and chemical pump wear rings.
Glass Microsphere Filled PTFE Rod
Hollow borosilicate glass microspheres. Reduced density, improved compressive strength, lower cold flow. Visually identifiable blue color. For sanitary tri-clamp gaskets, chemical flange seals, and anti-creep applications.
MoS₂ Filled PTFE Rod
Molybdenum disulfide powder. Ultra-low friction, enhanced wear resistance, improved non-stick properties. Typically combined with bronze or glass as a secondary filler. For boundary-lubricated and dry-running dynamic seals.
